Before I sign up for Avon, what is the cost and other expenses?

Want to become an Avon rep? In reality becoming an Avon representative isn't that big of a deal. You decide just how much or how little you do and if you don't feel like doing it any more, you just quit and leave a zero balance on your Avon account.

The risk is very low, just $10 to sign up($20 online to pay for shipping) and then whatever time you spend doing it. The start up kit you receive contains 20 Avon books(enough for 2 campaigns)  and some instructional booklets.

You also receive information of whom to contact locally for help and support.

Most want to know the earning potential of selling Avon so here it is:
As a NEW Avon Rep you make 40% off your first 4 campaigns(about 2 months time) if the orders are $50 or larger and you submit them online. After that here is what we can make:

Licensed products are earned at 20% commission.(like clothing or household goods)It easy to see, the more we sell, the more money we can make.

There are some expenses for us Reps. For example we do buy the Avon books we leave with people.

There is effort and learning required, but Avon has done a good job of keeping it simple and working with us.  Building an Avon business doesn't happen over night, patience and effort is required. If you approach it as a long term project and give it time to grow, you will find it to be a good way to make money, perhaps not a ton of money, but certainly enough to make it worthwhile.
